Thursday's Musical Theatre Rep class will dive into some of Broadway's most exciting dance combinations.

Class will begin with a 20-30 minute warm up including stretching, abdominal work, and technical exercises.

Students will then work across the floor for 20-30 minutes on typical jazz steps,

including various leaps, turns, and progressions.

For the last 30-45 minutes, students will dive into a musical theatre combination from  Broadway repertoire.

Anything from A Chorus Line, to West Side Story and more is fair game!

Need to brush up for a upcoming dance audition? Come expand your knowledge of theater dance rep, push yourself to new limits, and have a blast with us!

This class will follow a traditional ballet class format, with students starting at the barre for
35-45 minutes of work, followed by center and across the floor exercises for the remainder
of class.  Students will learn fundamentals of ballet technique such as turnout and neutral
alignment, and implement them within combinations throughout class. Students will not only
feel a workout through muscular engagement and maintaining posture, but they will also gain
an appreciation for artistry and style through movement.  I encourage anyone looking to learn
ballet technique, experience a non-aerobic workout, improve posture, flexibility, and strength,
or simply express themselves artistically to join in!
